If I sign a guy who is on LTIR IRL and was dropped by a team in ADHL, do I get him on the contract he has? If so, do I have to put him on LTIR?

We always use real life contracts so yes whatever his contract is, is what it is in here.

You can put him wherever you want.
LTIR doesn't remove him from cap. But give you a shadow you can use at a later date.

So if I sign Horton and put him on my LTIR will he help me reach the floor?

Yes
On the spreadsheet if you list his POS as LTIR1 you'll see how it worksz

Most off seasons, FA will be held for FA lotto.
But right now the only FA's are those who we drop. First claim until waiver wire makes sense? I'll raise with RC.

Just a heads up, but dressing a retired player in your lineup would be a pretty obvious sign of tanking.

Wouldn't it go to the waiver order, then?

I wouldn't dress him, I'd put him on my LTIR. Can't see any problem with that in order to reach the floor. Yotes just did it IRL when they traded for Pronger.

Bench & LTIR count on cap. Dress the best active lineup your team allows for and make the GP requirements and your not violating the concept of the league

Agreed, if he's on LTIR just for the cap hit, and the rest of his roster is full, I'm fine with this.
