The Bobby Orr Trophy is an annual award given to the defenseman who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest offensive ability in the position. Your 2015/16 nominees feature two Penguins and a Canuck and they are... TSN's Natasha Staniszweski's expert take on the nominees: Erik Karlsson - Pittsburgh Penguins: "He has really nice hair. I like him, he's cute." Brent Burns - Vancouver Canucks: "Eww gross he needs to shave it off. Yuck. Those look like pubes." Kris Letang - Pittsburgh Penguins: "He's pretty rugged and handsome plus he can speak french, oui oui." Did the ADHL make the right decision? Should someone else have been nominated? Voice your opinions and comments below! The ADHL will be releasing Award Nominees periodically throughout the week, so check back often.

Pure offense or all stats? seems like Karlsson is the obvious choice if just points.
Edit- NVM just saw the norris award.

It's the extra goals and shots that push me towards Burns on this. EK is the king of overall points from a defenseman but Burns more than doubled his goal output and 40% more shots, in a few less games too. That's significant.

Ignoring hits/shtoi/bs and focusing on the non-D categories I still end up with burns. He's been a total offensive juggernaut this season.
