The ADHL Foundation Award is awarded annually to the ADHL owner who applies the core values of commitment, perseverance and teamwork to enrich the lives of people in the league. The 2015-16 winner was Josh of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 2016-17 nominees are:
Josh (TB) - Josh did a tremendous job overhauling the SS's this season. A huge part of the reason why this league has the level of organization it does is this man.
Nick (CHI) - Better known as Koomzz, Nick was hugely important in filling out the SS's and FT schedule, as well as a whole host of other things to allow the league to operate.
Nick (TOR) - The commish and unmatched king of activity.

I voted for Josh, but I'm on the fence of moving my vote to Koomz. Josh obviously is one of the cornerstones of this league with his continual improvement of the spreadsheets, and Koomz has made a ton of other contributions, including the schedule, being an active poster and helping out with the spreadsheets as well. I think this award rightly could go to Josh every season, but Koomz definitely deserves recognition for his efforts. Maybe this year it is his!

"enrich the lives of people in the league"
All 3 of them gauged me for GP lol. I voted for Toronto based only on the fact that I enjoy the updates he does.

Toronto wanted Rykov for some ahler, Tampa wanted a 3rd?4th? for Fedun who barely played after that offer and Chicago wanted me to trade my then Buffalo goalies for his Dallas ones saying how much more reliable they were.

I'd say roughly 90% of your actual trades have been with a handful of GM's. That said, neither Josh nor Nicks offers seem like price gauging to me and Looms offer would appear to be a troll imo. And I'm not one to ever really stick up for Nick.

For example you offered me Laughton+ for Zacha when I packaged him for Kopitar or when you offered Wideman for McQuaid but I used him to get Mrazek. I'm open to trade with anyone but there's lots of teams not looking for fair trades. A future stud like Rykov for an ahl player or a 3rd/4th for a player who barely played is predatory.

Since you are trying to drag my name through the mud this is what ACTUALLY happened. -First trade offer I made to you when you joined the league I offered Voracek for Zacha straight up 1-1. -You said you were only willing to trade Zacha for center then proceeded to ask me what I wanted for Laughton or Cizikas. -I then asked if I were to make ADDS to Laughton would you be willing to move Zacha. -You then asked for Giroux for Zacha -I then made an offer involving for Laughton for Reid Boucher and you thought Boucher was worth a lot more than Laughton. As for Wideman and McQuaid, I made an inquiry as to whether you would be open to making a trade involving those 2. At no point did I ever actually offer Wideman for McQuaid. In fact I eventually did a similar deal with Geoff Wideman+2 for Gorges+4 that I would have been willing to do for McQuaid.

As for Rykov, a 5th rounder in his +1 season having a good year does not constitute "future stud." If you were offered anyone that had a decent shot at giving you gp when you were hurting badly for gp is a pretty fair offer. If you legitimately think Rykov will be a star in the NHL then yeah don't trade him, but that doesn't mean that you didn't get a fair market offer.
Anyways, that's enough of derailing this thread. Apologies fellas.

Everyone sees the game differently, and as such evaluates players differently. Hakstol and I happen to think MacDonald is a great defenseman, Casper, not so much haha. The same goes for Armia, I think he's a helluva player and worth at least a first and David you don't. Despite that difference of opinion on 1 player, I've managed to make deals with both of you. It's okay to be on different pages. I don't think it's okay to be constantly bickering and nagging about stupid shit; cheer up guys, both of you are the orneriest sons of guns in here haha.
I don't think anyone's really out to totally pillage someone, but lets be honest, even though it is a fun league, it is competitive. People should be looking to get great deals to improve their team; none of us are babies, even though sometimes we act like it.
Oh and from my phone I have (again don't take these stats as gospel) David making trades with 12 teams this year (SJ, BUF, CAR, CGY, DET, LAK, MIN, NSH, NYI, STL, TBL and VAN) with Grog, Larry, Geoff, Zacky and me in his "top 5".

"enrich the lives of people in the league" All 3 of them gauged me for GP lol. I voted for Toronto based only on the fact that I enjoy the updates he does. When did I ever offer you GP? And I tried pawning my DAL goalies off on everyone. Don't feel special that I tried to sugarcoat a pile of shit. There's 30(31) GMs here, you're not the only one that gets shitty offers on trades, or lopsided attempts at making a team better. Playing the card of victim is old. In regards to this vote however, I can't vote for myself. Josh has my vote with all of the work that I see him do directly with spreadsheets and fantrax as well as helping me out with FAF. Nick is without a doubt the most active and cares about the league without question, he's also a solid choice for this award.
