***I looked for as many of the roster changing trades that happened, also too many prospects that never became anything more than a plug won't be listed, there's alot more to these trades than what I've shown***
Calgary came out swinging showing they aren't messing around with their first ever trade bringing in Superstar Steven Stamkos from Tampa Bay sending out 25 year old TJ Brodie and youngster Sean Monahan.
Calgary wasn't finished as they had all in set on their minds sending out Mikael Backlund + 2016 CGY 1st acquiring Jason Spezza from Toronto
Fans had plenty to be happy about with Hampus Lindholm and Patrick Maroon acquired from Anaheim for Michael Frolik, Markus Granlund and Dennis Wideman
An upgrade in net was needed bringing in Corey Crawford and Scott Darling from Chicago sending out Jonas Hiller and Karri Ramo
And with the start of the season nearing Calgary filling needs across the board but still wasn't there. with the last trade before the regular season begins Calgary sends out Brandon Prust and the 2017 CGY 1st for Brandon Sutter
From what I can find. Two roster changing moves around the Trade deadline bringing in Brooks Orpik from Toronto for Willie Mitchell + 2 others
also bringing in Antoine Roussel from Philly at the cost of Kris Russell and Andrew Mangiapane
**not sure what kind of impact these players had that year. it's alot of work to show everything**
1st Round: ANA vs. CGY
With Calgary basically going all finding an opponent that would not back down and would give Calgary all kinds of trouble stealing Hit, BLK, TOISH and all the Goalie Categories bringing this match up to a tie one team gets lucky and the other disappointed
CGY wins 8-8
2nd Round: ARZ vs. CGY
After a close battle Calgary is feeling refreshed and excited to move on to the second round waiting for Arizona to show up.
Calgary laughing their asses off all the way to the 3rd round embarrassing Arizona taking the G, A, PT, PIM, SOG, PPP, RE, Hit, Blk, FOW, GPT6 and SV categories.
CGY wins 12-4
3rd Round: CGY vs. WPG
In a close battle that could have easily gone the other way Calgary managed to take the G, A, PT, PIM, SOG, PPP, GPT6, GAA and SV% categories feels like this series was there to be taken for WPG but CGY stayed strong and held off a late push in the end was too little too late for WPG
CGY wins 10-6
ADHL Stanley Cup Finals: PIT vs. CGY
Calgary fans are going ape shit the Calgary Flames made it to the Stanley Cup Final thinking the booing and sea of red would be enough to tame Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
However none of which seems to bother Marc-Andre Fleury and Matt Murray as they kept Pittsburgh's dreams of hoisting the first ADHL Stanley Cup stealing the GPT6, GAA, SV% and falling short of the SV by one save
Calgary fan's hearts smashing through their chests as their team slightly has the lead with the dying seconds of the Finals holding onto the A, PT, PIM, SOG, PPP, HIT, FOW, and by one last save to secure the fucking SV category and Stealing the Cup from Pittsburgh
CGY wins 8.5-7.5
Congratulations Calgary
