For ADHL Entry draft lottery, we will match to NHL standings and mirror results. K.I.S.S.
- if you are 27th in the ADHL, and the 27th place team in the NHL wins the lottery, you just won the lottery.
Off/Post season trading: March 2nd is our trade deadline. There is no trading between July 2nd and the end of our regular season. However all teams can trade once the ADHL playoffs have started, however they are not processed until the awarding of the ADHL Stanley Cup.
Regarding Tanking: All ADHL GMs are expected to dress a full and optimal lineup. It is recognized that optimal is a subjective term and all allegations of tanking will be reviewed with the accused GM afforded the opportunity to explain why their roster is not being used to try and lower their place in the standings. Penalties will be determined on a case by case basis with repeat offenders receiving harsher punishment. Summary, meeting GP regulations is necessary but not sufficient, benching your goalies is not a realistic scenario and is not permitted in the ADHL for tanking purposes.
Less-waiver exempt players: Skaters will need to have played max 120 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.
Goalies will need to have played max 30 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.
That means skaters with 121 NHL regular season games will be eligible for waivers no matter the age, just like 26 yrs old players with less games played.
If under NHL contract, such players will be exposed to waivers if in the minors at roster submission (for season opener) and whenever they are demoted during the season (off-season excluded).
Dropping players/contracts: A player on contract can be released at any point during the off-season. From the end of our regular season through to the start of our Waiver wire (roster submission). During the season that player would be put on waivers. Summary: waivers from oct 2nd -> jan 1; free agents outside that period
Cap hit: we use the Average Annual Value (AAV) including all bonuses/signing terms and performance bonuses. This means Ivan Provorov is $3'867'500, and not 925k www.hockeyscap.com/players/ivan_provorov - you need to click on his contract to get AAV, and basically anyone with entry level contract's (ELC).
Fantrax should be up shortly. This will be our scoring site. Our scoring categories won't be ready for us until we've paid the premium membership, which will take place once this place is fully up and operational.
Positions: This is important for planning and trade value, so I will post it in a few locations. We're going to try and keep is easy to understand.
Each week you can dress up to 20 active players. 2 spots are for goalies only.
18 spots for skaters.
3-5 of whom are ADHL Centres
6-7 of whom are Dmen (regardless of handedness or side)
6-9 ADHL Wingers.
An ADHL winger is any forward who is not a centre. An ADHL centre is a statistic based listing. Any player with more than 7 Face-offs per game must be dressed as a C. there are no duel eligible players. faceoffs.net/stats/faceoff-percentage?year=2014-15&sort=faceoffs_per_game&sort_order=desc&show_all=1
So under 25 NHL games, we use their NHL Draft/listed position. Over 25 NHL games, they are qualified by face-offs per game.
We have 2 review dates for players. Approx 25 and 50 game mark. Those dates will be made clear once our calendar is looked at properly.
