The John Scott Award is an annual award given to the General Manager adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct; it's essentially the Congeniality Award: Your 2015/16 nominees are...
This year's nominees are truly all winners.
Duncan - Ottawa Senators: From the moment he joined the league, Duncan has been a pleasure to work with. He's always very detailed and courteous in his trade talks, and he offers a very straight forward and sportsmanlike opinion in and around the boards. Duncan's level of professionalism is something we should all strive for.
Dan - Pittsburgh Penguins: Never one to get into a flame war or argument, Dr. Dan's humble, and yet always interesting approach to the league is commendable. The way in which he always keeps his eye on the data, rather than the petty personal battles that often consume the league is a testament to Dan's intelligence and passion for what he truly loves; fantasy hockey. Dan is always around to offer advice, and always strives for the "fair deal".
Matt - St. Louis Blues: Always one of the first to welcome a new member of the league, and always a positive and thoughtful light in all discussions and trade talks, Matt is one of the easiest people to work with whether it's through trade talks or when discussing rules. The last few months Matt has been away from the league a little more than he would have liked, and anyone who was around during this time can tell you, the league just wasn't as good without him.
Did the ADHL make the right decision? Should someone else have been nominated? Voice your opinions and comments below! The ADHL will be releasing Award Nominees periodically throughout the week, so check back often.
