The Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award is an award given in recognition of distinguished members of the ADHL who have brought honour to journalism and to hockey; basically the best post of the season. These are your 2015/16 nominees.
Will - Dallas Stars: "Taking some time away"

At first glance this looks like one of those petty posts league's seem to always endure. "During this time I'll decide if I'm staying/coming back or not. I'm pretty feed up with people in general.", but it wasn't until later in the season when it was revealed Will's mom was fighting cancer, that the actual context of why Will just didn't want to be around people was revealed. It made so much sense after that. It was truly heartbreaking, but it was a feeling any one of us would have had if put in that position; it's such a human emotion. It's one of the most real posts that could ever happen on a Fantasy sports message board, because in it's whole it shows that the league is more than just fantasy hockey, and the people will deal with are real, who endure real challenges throughout the year--and you just never know what type of battle your fellow GM is fighting. It wasn't so much a post about fantasy as it was about life.
Craig - San Jose Sharks: "Shitty Sports Network"
armchairdhl.proboards.com/thread/501/introducing-adhls-shitty-sport-network
It was a game changer in terms of media posts and the sheer fact that, "Sharky" managed to rope "a girl from work" into reading his shitty script made this an easy nomination. As one of the most liked posts on the year (10 likes), this silly, and "shitty" video featured a woman talking about the league's pre-season favourites.
Sam - Los Angeles Kings: "u can't bog the grog"
armchairdhl.proboards.com/thread/74/waiver-claims?page=14
Grogers far and away had the funniest and most "eclectic" posts this season featured in his signature "haiku" style (Honorable mention to Koomz for calling out Grogers shitty haiku style). It seems teenage angst, maturity, and a take no gruff attitude is the perfect combination for mass hilarity on the internet. During a heated waiver discussion, the most infamous league wide catchphrase known the ADHL was born when Mack made a comment, "can he be penalized for claiming when he can't just so this can stop " and Grogers, like the reincarnate of Ernest Hemingway so eloquently replied, "no u bitch i can claim u cant bog the grog." Truly Shakespearean.
