The ADHL Foundation Award is awarded annually to the ADHL owner "who applies the core values of (ice) hockey—commitment, perseverance and teamwork—to enrich the lives of people in the league; it's the who did the most for the league award. Your 2015/16 nominees are...
Nick - Toronto Maple Leafs: In it's inaugural season, it's easy to name the Commissioner of the league as one of the most helpful and pivotal members of the ADHL community. Nick worked tirelessly to get the league up and running. His work didn't stop there, Nick has been at the forefront of the CBA, and ensuring a fair and fun experience can be had by all so that the league itself can stand the test of time.
Josh - Tampa Bay Lightning: Whether it's his wizardry with spreadsheets, or his approachable leadership figure mentality, Josh has been an integral part of the inaugural season of the ADHL. Josh is not only a member of the Rules committee and chief administrator, but he has taken it upon himself to be quite literally the liaison of the league; the first person any new member actually meets which is a very important role for the continued growth of the league.
Episkey - San Jose Sharks: No longer part of the league, Episkey's time in the ADHL should not be forgotten, as it was he who would pay the entire Fantrax tab without hesitation; for a group of total strangers, all because he felt fortunate himself and wanted to share the gift of fantasy hockey with everyone. His thoughtful actions would keep Grogers' weekly allowance free and clear to buy pop rocks, 99 cent iphone games, and pokemon stickers.
Did the ADHL make the right decision? Should someone else have been nominated? Voice your opinions and comments below! The ADHL will be releasing Award Nominees periodically throughout the week, so check back often.
